"Brought in my late father's Seiko 5 that had not run in about twelve years. They prepared a condition report before quoting anything, which I appreciated. The movement was overhauled, timing result shared, and the watch has been running within a few seconds a day since March. Worth the wait."
"I had three quartz pieces that needed batteries and one bracelet resized. Everything was done in a day and a half. The bracelet work was clean — no scratches. Small thing, but they called when the pieces were ready rather than sending me to check. That kind of follow-through matters."
"The mechanical overhaul on my Tissot took about three weeks, which I was told upfront. Timing sheet was included with the watch on collection — I did not expect that detail. My only comment is that the wait for the initial assessment slot was about a week, though I understand they schedule carefully rather than rush."
"My 1968 Omega Constellation needed full restoration — the dial lume had deteriorated and the crown was loose. The condition report they prepared ran to two pages and itemised everything. We agreed to preserve the original dial rather than refinish it. The outcome respects the age of the piece. Very knowledgeable team."
"I collect vintage Japanese pieces and have been bringing them to Seri Waktu for four years now. The fact that they retain service records is genuinely useful — when I brought a Grand Seiko back for regulation adjustment within the service period, there was no discussion about fees. The record was there and the work was done."
"Visited for a strap and battery swap on two watches. The service was professional and completed the same day. The leather conditioning on the older strap was a nice added touch — it had been dry for a while. Pricing was fair and there were no additions beyond what was quoted."
Notable Service Accounts
1972 Longines Automatic
A family heirloom — the client's grandfather's dress watch — brought in for full service after sitting unused for eight years.
The movement showed significant mainspring fatigue and dried lubricants throughout. The crystal had surface crazing from age. One hand was slightly bent from an earlier impact. The case needed resealing.
Full disassembly, ultrasonic clean, new mainspring, fresh lubricants, hand straightened, crystal replaced with period-appropriate acrylic, case resealed. Timing on six positions within ±8 sec/day on completion.
1961 Rolex Oyster Perpetual
Brought in by a collector who had sourced the piece privately and wanted documentation of its condition before deciding on scope of work.
The tritium lume was degraded on three indices. A replacement crown had been fitted at some point — non-original. The movement ran but regulation was erratic. Case had been polished aggressively at some point, losing its original sharpness.
Client chose partial restoration: movement overhaul with new crown sourced from specialist supplier, indices relumed with period-appropriate material. Case finish left unaltered per client preference. Full photographic record retained.
Corporate Timepiece Fleet
A KL law firm brought in eleven branded quartz pieces — staff recognition gifts — for simultaneous battery service and strap sizing.
Eleven pieces varying across three brands. Strap sizes differing across staff. Two pieces had gaskets showing early deterioration. One leather strap required conditioning.
All eleven pieces serviced within two working days. Two gaskets replaced. Straps individually fitted and conditioned. Delivered back in individual pouches with service notes.
